HOLY NAME OF MARY SYRIAN REFUGEE FAMILY UPDATE
A huge congratulations and thank you from ourselves, our Parish Council and our HNM Syrian Refugee Committee! We have raised, through donations and pledges, enough money to begin the process of bringing our Syrian refugee family to Canada. Through your contributions and Catholic generosity of spirit, our refugee family will hopefully sooner, rather than later, be able to thank you themselves for your efforts. Once arrived, they will undoubtedly need your assistance on a continuing basis. If you have not yet had an opportunity to pledge, be assured that all donations will be usefully targeted toward the betterment of their lives for the first 12 months they are in our community. Our HNM Parish Refugee Committee will keep you informed of our progress.
God bless you all.
Sandy O'Hara and Cathie Solowjew, HNM Refugee Committee Co-chairs
Instead of using envelopes at church, you can make a one-time payment, or make periodic payments, to fulfil your pledge here, via our online donation button. Remember to give your name and address so we can issue you a charitable receipt. Click the Donate button now to pay with your credit card and fulfil your pledge for the HNM Syrian Refugee Sponsorship Fund. Sincere thanks. HNM Refugee Committee.
We're part of a global effort that includes our town: The larger community in which we live, work, play and worship has undertaken to do it's share. The Syrian Refugee Committee of Mississippi Mills (SRCMM) currently has about 80 families interested in participating in Syrian refugee sponsorship.
