What's New?

Events are moving along quickly in our Parish effort to bring the Jarous family of four to our community. We have set up a parish committee to help us realize the goal of giving a new life in our community to a Christian family devastated by war in Syria. We will need the help of parishioners in particular once the family arrives in Canada. They will need accommodation, transportation to appointments and employment as soon as possible. Furnishings and clothing will be needed as well.
An early step in the process of committing to bring this family to us is to ensure we have raised sufficient funds to support them for a year once they arrive. We are making good progress through your generosity but have not yet reached our goal of $25,000. If you have not yet had an opportunity to contribute to this worthy cause we ask you to please consider doing so soon in order that we can move forward. Please make cheques payable to HNM Refugee Fund.
Our Holy Name of Mary parishioners are known throughout the Ottawa Valley as among the most committed and generous in spirit. May the good Lord continue to bless you and your families. For more information on our sponsorship efforts, please contact:Sandy at 613-256-3586 or by email at sandy_ohara@hotmail.com
